CLOUD Hunters

About The Game:

​

CLOUD Hunters is a VR action-adventure game set in a post-dystopian city. Play as Veles a young soldier of opposition. Use your wall-bouncing disk to destroy the clouds of enemy drones. Fight, climb and zip line your way through Block 36 to make it free gain.

​

My Contribution:

​

- Lead a team of 10 skilful developers. Guide the vision of the project and manage workflow to succeed in great final results.

- Being in charge of all Narrative Design, Worldbuilding and Writing in the game. Which included: Script Writing, Environmental Storytelling Design, and working with artists on the look of the game world.

- Designing hand-to-hand with Jack Myrick systems and optimising for VR whole game.

- Project Management role included creating week-to-week working plans or sprint plans,  resolving conflicts in the team, and communicating between disciplines for smooth work progression. As well as defining the scope and guiding the team through the plan.

- Creating Whiteboxes for level designer to build Greybox on top to ensure smooth linear narrative progression.

Laboratoriya

About The Game:

​

Laboratoriya is a visual novel game with elements of puzzles. It tells the story of a young woman who became a victim of a crucial scientific experiment. Now her task is to escape.

​

My Contribution: 

​

- Being a Team Leader and defining the main vision of the game. 

- Project Management in a small development team of 6 people. Defining the Scope and creating a plan to succeed in the desired goal just in 4 months of development. Resolving multiple conflicts between different disciplines and individuals. 

- Designing Puzzles.

- Taking the role of the programmer and doing all of the puzzles, in general coding on C♯.

Whitefall

About The Game:

​

The Whitefall is a VR narrative exploration game about young scientist Eira Aqua who got crushed on a frozen alien planet and now needs to survive.

​

My Contribution:

​

- Being in charge of all Narrative Design and Writing in the game. Which included: Script Writing, Environmental Storytelling Design, Working with artists on the look of the game world, Helping level designer create level layouts, and Auditioning/Recording voice actors for the dialogues in the game. 

- Project Management role included creating week-to-week working plans or sprint plans,  resolving conflicts in the team, and communicating between disciplines for smooth work progression. As well as defining the scope and guiding the team through the plan to succeed in the desired goal.

- At the end of production also needed to replace a level designer. Have designed and white boxed last two levels of the game.

​

Awards:

Whitefall was Draft selected and Finalist in the Rookies 2022 Game of the Year: Immersive Media Award.

Trapped In Time by Diana Faizulina

About The Project:

​

Alongside game development, I am also highly passionate about creating an interactive experience, for example, galleries and exhibitions. 

Trapped In Time is a VR exhibition of photo series created by Latvian fashion photographer Diana Faizulina. She contacted me and made a commission to create a full gallery experience in the virtual world.

​

My Contribution:

​

- Working solo on every technical part.  

- Designing the layout of the space.

- Setting up and optimizing space for 3D and VR at the same time. 

- Decorating and creating the atmosphere that the client has requested.

- Communicating with the client about desired photography layouts and scale.

Speculo VR

About The Project:

This is a personal project on creating a Design document as a result of research on finding the best way to create a fully immersive experience in VR. 

It escalates the need for AI that can code a new generation of people who would be less aggressive and mentally stable than our generation. Speculo VR is a philosophical futuristic design that tries to get rid of the concept of childhood trauma through immersion into virtual reality.
